What to Wear

In general, I think that whatever you and your family are most comfortable in will, in the end, be the outfits that will lead you to be the most relaxed and natural at a photo shoot.  Below are just a few tips that I think might help you make your outfit decisions.  Please check out my photography board on Pinterest, linked from the home page.  It includes examples of photos that I like as well outfit tips.
  • Try to pair a few patterns together, but not too may. Patterns are great, especially on little people.
  • I really like a few pops of bright color in a picture.  Feel free to put your little one in a bright color or a nice colorful top on mom.
  • White tops on everyone can work for some and wash out others.  You decide what you think looks best on your family.  My son is very fair skinned, so I probably wouldn't put him in a white shirt for a photo shoot, but we can work with anything!
  • Newborns usually stand out more when the parents are wearing a darker color without patterns.
